What is an Exchange?

An Exchange is an anonymous event in which participants are matched with one another to create various fanworks to gift to their assigned partner. Participants will have the opportunity to specify their interests and disinterests to ensure everyone receives the perfect Valentine!

Do you have to be 18+ to participate?

As this event includes the option to create NSFW works, participants must be 18 years old at the time of their sign-up.

Is this a TDBK or BKTD event?

It’s both! Either dynamic is welcomed. Participants will be able to indicate their preference during sign-ups and will be matched accordingly.

Is the Two Top Valentine Exchange open to artists and writers?

Of course!

How will gifts be exchanged/posted?

Writers will post their completed works to Ao3 where they can be added to a collection. On Ao3 they can use the “Gift” feature to tag their Valentine. Writers may, of course, promote their work on social media.Artists (and other media oriented content) will be asked to post on Twitter where they can tag their Valentine. They may also post on Ao3 if they would like to be added to the Ao3 collection.Any Twitter posts will be collected into a moment and pinned on the event Twitter if tagged with the event hashtag: #2TopVday2024If neither of these options work for a participant, or a participant would like to remain anonymous, we can make accommodations upon request.

What is the minimum/maximum word count for the event?

The minimum word count is 2k and there is no maximum.

Will there be any restricted content?

This is a pro-ship event and will not have restricted content.During sign-ups, participants will have the opportunity to indicate what kind of content they are willing to create/receive, including content that may be considered problematic.
